Let’s Build Intergenerational Partnerships!

It’s Day Two of Global Intergenerational Week! Today’s theme is the importance of building effective intergenerational partnerships. One of KSP’s partnerships this year was with artist and muralist @DaveYoungKim and the amazing Korean Resource Center (@krclaorg), a nonprofit community organization empowering low-income immigrants, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and people of color communities in Southern California. This summer, Dave will paint a mural on the KRC building, and he partnered with us to gather community input and inspiration for his project! KSP students and staff visited KRC to interview older Korean tenants to capture their stories, hear their desires for the mural, and strengthen the intergenerational bonds we hold with neighboring organizations.
