“Day in my Life” by Raúl Cubias
As his final project of his student internship with Koreatown Storytelling Program, Raúl Cubias created a short-film documenting a day in his life. Raúl is a sophomore at RFK-LAHSA High School and plans to study photography and graphic design. Since the age of 10, he became passionate about editing and photography, but he did not have the opportunities to develop his skills beyond using his phone. He was born in El Salvador, in a city called Soyapango, and moved to the United States at the age of 14, where after years of waiting, he was able to acquire the necessary equipment to learn more. The culture of Koreatown, its buildings, parks, and recreational areas inspire him to take photos as a journey of his life.
