Help Us Edit!

We are always in need of editing support for the content we have collected.

Want to help?

We are looking for people who can take a transcript and help us edit and format it. Since we do dozens and dozens of interviews each year we are always trying to catch up with the editing process in order to share the stories we are collecting.

We would love older adults who might have been former editors who have a few hours over the summer or students who want to do some community service. It only takes a few hours and would provide us with invaluable help.

We have created a very easy “how-to” guide, so if you are interested in listening to an amazing story from a Koreatown resident in English, Spanish, Korean—even Mongolian or Bengali, as we’re looking to expand! We’d love to hear from you!

What To Expect as a Volunteer Editor

  • Commitment of a 2-3 hours per interview

  • Clear instructions and a detailed guide of “how-to”

  • Exposure to the stories of Koreatown

  • Help and support from our team if you run into issues or questions
