History of Koreatown Workshop at GenSpace

On Tuesday, September 30, KSP led a "History of K-Town" workshop at the beautiful Wallis Annenberg GenSpace, a community space for elders in the heart of Koreatown. Director Katherine Kim gave a presentation that detailed the history of Los Angeles’s Koreatown, including the three waves of Korean immigration to the U.S. as well as key historic events in our community’s history.

GenSpace is a community space whose mission is to reimagine aging through wellness, connection, and lifelong learning. This collaboration was a depiction of the intergenerational community KSP hopes to build, as KSP students got to speak with the GenSpace elders, many of whom lived through the historic events included in the presentation.

Special thank you to GenSpace for hosting us in your beautiful space!
