KSP 2023-24 Culmination!

On Fri., March 15, KSP wrapped up our 2023-24 Cohort on the LGBTQIA+ community in Koreatown with a big celebration at KYCC Wilton Center Treehouse. Over 75 of our students, narrators, and community members came together for My Yummy Tacos (al pastor was a favorite), tanghulu from Tangtastic, and stories, of course! We welcomed new and familiar faces to share food and conversation. Our Culmination was a lovely testament to the wonderful people we met, the organizations we partnered with, and the community built through listening to and documenting the stories of our theme over the past year.

Each student gave a presentation on their older adult narrator, the main takeaways from this year’s cohort, and their respective plans for next year. (We have many high school seniors in the program!)

Thank you to all who attended and everyone who has contributed, participated, and supported us this year. Special thanks to our funders who generously contributed to KSP making the recording of these important narratives possible: California Arts Council, The Eisner Foundation, Honda USA Foundation, Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, National Endowment for the Arts, Next50 Initiative, and Snap Foundation.
