Quilt Auction and Sewing Auction at KSP!

Throughout the past month, KSP has been partnering with Sequoyah High School’s Gryphon Ensemble to fundraise through a Quilt Auction! Freshman Isha Agrawal, who organized the project, also hosted three sewing workshops at the KSP treehouse to teach participants and community members how to craft tote bags, drawstring bags, and other fun items!

“My name is Isha Agrawal, a freshman at Sequoyah High School. I started this Quilt Auction project because of my passion for sewing. There’s nothing I love more than spending countless hours cutting up fabric and sewing it back together to make a cozy, handmade quilt to share with my loved ones. And after the hard work of creating a finished quilt, there’s no better feeling than to give away that quilt to a loved one or someone in need.

This is why I’ve started this auction project, which promotes and supports local small sewing shops while giving back to the larger community. All of my proceeds will benefit the Koreatown Storytelling Program, an intergenerational oral history program at KYCC in Los Angeles’s Koreatown. If you know someone who loves quilts, please share this auction with them!”
