Since the June 2025 ICE raids in Los Angeles, approximately 59,762 people have been detained. Many community members in Koreatown, Westlake, and Pico-Union have been disproportionately impacted.
We are interested in gathering first-person narratives to document this important moment in history from the people who have been directly affected. We understand there is a lot of fear and uncertainty. Many families have loved ones whose whereabouts are unknown. Many are also considering self-deporting.
We believe stories are powerful; they are resistance. We want to provide a space for community voices to be heard. Whether you or your loved ones have been directly impacted by the raids, or you simply want to share your thoughts, feelings, or reflections during this time—this space is for you.
We are interested in all ages. We will keep responses confidential, but we believe that it is important to gather these stories in order to document this important part of American history.
