August Dragonfly Arts Workshops

Workshops are starting up again here at KSP! Throughout the month of August, we hosted a new workshop series called Dragonfly Workshops, which consisted of five arts workshops open to the community. On Aug. 19, Tabassun Zaman kicked off the series a henna workshop. Tabassun taught us about the history of henna and guided us through making our own henna designs. On Aug. 21, KSP intern Cira Mejia led a workshop on embroidery and showed us how to embroider different designs on clothes. The following week, KSP intern Piper Begler led a workshop on collaging, showing us how to use old photos, magazines, letters, and even paintings to build our own collage creations. We wrapped the series up with a zine-making workshop, where we created our own zines using the art we created throughout the month! Check out the digital version of our zine below!
